As of March 14th, 2020 we have been off the road due to the Covid-19 Virus outbreak. We hope to return to traveling and servicing equipment as soon as all is deemed safe.
We hope that everyone is staying safe and VIRUS FREE and our thoughts are with all of those worldwide that have been infected or affected and our hopes are that they will recover and all lives returned to normal quickly and that a cure is released soon. DAVE, BETH and ADAM
As of March 1st, 2020 I have been traveling with a new apprentice. Adam Davis of South Carolina. Adam has never been in printing but is hoping to learn to repair Letterpress related equipment and take over when I retire. So far he has been working mostly on Ludlow's but is getting exposed to other pieces of equipmet as we go. Adams main experience has been in running a restaurant and taking care of the equipment there and most recently he has been working for TTX in North Augusta, SC rebuilding railroad cars. So he should fit right in with our Letterpress AND railroad enthusiasts. Adams home base is North Augusta, South Carolina, but plans on traveling all 48 states as I do.
I have been asked, this year, to do a 6-8 hour Linotype Seminar at the 2020 ATF Meeting which is being held at David MacMillan's shop in Mineral Point, WI and in Montford, WI at The Montford House of Arts and Crafts, belonging to Sara and Kylian Wrzeninski. The dates are July 30th through August 2nd 2020. I believe that most of the seminars will be held on July 29th before the meeting starts. A link to the ATF website is below.
